Our initial focus after this consultation was on enhancing NetJets' Enterprise Trip Management (ETM) system, a pivotal tool for their call center operations and it evolved into an insightful discovery process. Through candid conversations with NetJets staff, we identified the potential for reusable design components that could streamline efficiency and interdepartmental collaboration. This vision materialized into the development of a comprehensive Style Toolkit.
This toolkit included reusable components built with layers of pure CSS and HTML, published as a package, and supplemented by ReactJS implementations for each component. It was utilized across many departments and contexts, providing style unification for the brand. At least three large-scale projects have launched much sooner than expected due to the efficiencies gained by using the toolkit. The adoption of this toolkit significantly changed how in-house developers built their apps, allowing them to scale projects of any size efficiently. Developers, marketing staff, and others could easily select and use components from the toolkit for various purposes.
At this time Bonfire Red, our partner design firm, had been leading a website redesign and re-platform project in collaboration with external developers which included a unique Drupal CMS. During this time the developers encountered performance issues that threatened NetJets' online presence.
Netjets called on Base Two to address these within existing IT constraints. We tackled the intricacies of seven page template types, sixty block types with variants, translations in seven languages, and complex design elements, resolving performance issues, fixing broken search functionalities, and seamlessly integrating GDPR and CCPA requirements, all while re-platforming to a more efficient and modern stack.

NetJets' marketing team needed a way to translate their web banner designs into code, maintaining attention-grabbing design components and animations while optimizing performance and fitting into extremely small file size requirements.
Base Two has delivered hundreds of web banners on deadline, translated to 7 different languages, all while solving animation, as well as font and image file size hurdles.

Our commitment has extended beyond technical problem-solving. We became integral members seated on NetJets' councils, offering insights on architecture, web technology, and design. We have conducted multiple training sessions for their in-house staff on general engineering skills, best practices, and the solutions that we have created. Mentorship and training initiatives provide NetJets' internal teams with new, efficient, and exciting tools.
